Happenings

Around here we are spending time at home, avoiding the crowds, keeping warm, maintaining perspective and being mindful of what is important. At least that's the goal. But perhaps more than anything I'm trying really hard to not focus on the fact that my husband has the flu and that Christmas is a few days away and let's see, the incubation period for the flu is usually a few days and, well, you know...
Did I say maintaining perspective?

What kinds of things are happening around your house these days?

Speaking of happenings, a little bird told me that Shutter Sisters is giving away a sweet snaptotes bag . You know, the kind that you can create with your own photo? Way cool ladies! Right up your alley.

i love how my version of "snow-bound" is your version of "maintaining perspective" and "avoiding crowds"... it sounds so much cozier and romantic in your world. now if only i could imagine your words from your home of girls in my world of boys... :)
have a wonderful, peaceful holiday~

After too many weeks away I finally got my act together again and posted. Not a stellar photograph, but a nice reminder of the season.

I love the adorable polkadots in your photos.

We have the Christmas sickness here, too! Ugh. Here's hoping hubby is well soon, no one else gets it and your plans all go off without a hitch.

Love the outfit!

These happeningsI didn't capture around my house, but thought they were worth sharing.

Oh no! I hope that he is on the mend soon and that everyone else avoids the Christmas bug...that is the WORST! Sending good health and get well wishes your way....

My BSM is all about a different kind of perspective...one that's high up!

That is fun shot - and a great outfit! We are trying to take it easy around here, too. This week is all about enjoying the season, all the "must do" stuff is done!

We even managed to get around to our Wishbone from Thanksgiving this weekend!

here's hoping you can avoid the sickness! in my house, the sickness hit me like a truck, so i've spent much of the last few days curled up on the couch under handmade blankets and kitties for warmth.

yes, i had two of the three on me at all times for two days (the girls traded off, as they don't like to be near each other when humans are looking).

Our day today was the opposite--a trek into Philly. Wednesday will be our close to home, baking, preparing for a lovely long weekend in.

The dots catch my eye, but moreso the hands at the sides, a moment of stillness...

My Best shot for this week

The happening at our house is a baby on the move, who is also working on two front teeth.
I hope everyone stay healthy for the Holiday's.

I'm right there with you on maintaining perspective. A friend of mine died the day before Thanksgiving leaving a husband and three small children. I'm keeping mindful that all the stuff doesn't matter, the time with my family is all that matters.

Hope your holidays are wonderful and the rest of your family avoids the flu!
