Past, Present and Future

I just revisited this interview I did with Maile of Daily Relish and couldn't believe how time flies. It's been a year!

Then there is this new little tid-bit at Our 365 about baby's first holiday photos which I wrote a while ago but was just published this week.

And last but not least I can only share three little words that you never want to hear in the same sentence with The Oprah Winfrey Show...cutting room floor. Which leads me to the Future part of this post where I reiterate what I know deep in my heart; all I have experienced up until now is merely the tip of the iceberg my friends. A dress rehearsal as my sister calls it. Despite my obvious disappointment, I take comfort in knowing the sky is the limit and I am flying.

How about you? Have you had any chance to reflect on what you've come from, where you are now and where you are going? This time of year is the perfect time to be thankful for what we do have and to look forward to the bright and brilliant future. I know it's going to be amazing. Can you feel it too?

Am I reading cutting room floor correctly? Bigger and better things waiting in the wings, I just know it.

How I feel the comings and goings! Every loss is an opening, but still so sad! I practice releasing my grasp so I can see what lands in my open hand. The most wonderful thing about it: I have no idea what it could be.

I loved reading your interview. I love reading interviews of photographers. I have been doing a series every Monday asking my favorite photographers 7 questions. I did my own 7 too. I think it would be cool to ask the same seven questions a year from now and see how the answers may change. Reflection is great if there is growth. You can't go wrong.

not to be cliche, but i'm thinking of the saying, "when a door closes, a window opens." i'm sorry we won't get to see you on oprah, but what a lovely experience for you nonetheless. can't wait for your next adventure :).

Tracey, you have inspired me beyond what you will ever know to recapture myself and keep her alive...in photography and life.

Love ya.

Oprah has no idea what she's missing.

Life...it's waiting...we'll inhale it deeply and exhale it to all who need a fresh breath.

The future will be all we want...and more.

I have just found your blog and have come to the Oprah story late. I'm sorry for your disappointment but it reminds me a little of using DOF in photography. Maybe the subject of your picture isn't right there in front of you...changing persective and refocusing can make it all a lot clearer. Hope you have a happy week!
