On Growing and Grace

Amidst all the recent hub-bub around here, my oldest daughter turned 11. That is some pretty big news! I haven't really even had the time to reflect and get too melancholy about it. The thing is, although I have the expected motherhood twinge of disbelief that my baby is growing up I am more in a place of total and utter gratitude and appreciation of who my daughter is now.

This year as we celebrated at the hippest bowling alley around I marveled at my daughter interacting with her friends; confident, comfortable, vibrant, funny, sincere, warm and happy. She's amazing this kid. My daughter. And she's growing up.

And did I mention full of grace?

Did you capture any highlights of your week that told such a story? Enlighten us with your Best Shot on this lovely Monday.

Hey, we had my son's 11th birthday at the same place! We went to the one in Hollywood and that place is the BOMB! We're having my hubby's 50th bday party there next month, too.
Can you believe she's 11? Wow. It goes by so fast...

That bowling alley looks awesome. My niece/god daughter turns 11 this week and she has went from a little girl to a little women so fast.

Happy birthday! Eleven seems so far away, but I know that in reality it's just around the corner. Looks like you guys had a good time celebrating!

Here's my BSM from a different kind of celebration!

11 seems like a long way away for me too. I'm having a hard time picturing him in kindergarten and that's coming up in just 2 years.

Looks like she had a wonderful birthday celebration at the bowling alley though. Great picture. Love that silver top. :)

Mine is about inflatable race cars.

11! Good grief. She is a very beautiful and graceful 11-year old. Wishes for a great year!

Where is that fun bowling alley??

Mommy had a recharge weekend for my BSM.

What a shot! And good for her; by the time I was 11, I had already decided that bowling was just something I shouldn't do in public (my best score to date is around 60).

I have a warm BSM this week, despite the cold.
