Being Seen by Andrea Scher.
My Oregon adventure was amazing beyond words. God knows I've been posting enough of the images on Flickr to prove it. I could try to articulate how much it meant to spend quality time with 11 soul-sisters but I think when the planets align like that, the words only fall flat and could never really conjure up the magic that swirled about in the salty air, beneath the Mystical Manzanita Moon.
Among countless other gifts, I came home with an entire collection of photographs of myself which is a rarity for sure. That the shots so beautifully and insightfully tell the story of who I am leaves me feeling deeply seen and makes me weepy with gratitude.
I am a soul-searcher at heart so receiving photographs that have captured a part of my soul feels incredible. Through the lenses of women I hold dear, I am able to see myself as I am and as I strive to be;
open,
alive,
playful,
happy,
content,
and full of love.
Sometimes these kinds of shots are the Best Shots there are.
Share your Best Shots today, whomever and whatever they may have captured.

I had a very similar experience, in the pacific northwest a few weeks ago myself. Already posted those shots a couple weeks ago, but it left me feeling completely full of love.

What a great post. I can totally relate. I am always searching for my inner peace and learning more about myself.
Its funny because my post this week happens to capture two sides of my daughter almost at the same moment.
Here is my BSM.
Oh, what a wonderful experience for you! I yearn for that type of time away from my every day life, learning more about myself and more about who I want to become. Maybe one day...
On the other hand, I have a wonderful image of who my little girl is...who she is right this minute. What a treasure this picture will be for me for many, many years.
Unfortunately, I don't have the code for posting a link, but please come on by. I wish we should sit and chat for a while, learning more about each other.

I love that picture of you - so original and so...happy :)
Here's my BSM: Number Five
I found your blog from a link to the photo in Ali's blog. Don't usually write my thoughts....I often read these b;pgs as a way of relaxing and undwinding and finding new artistic ideas. I read down through your and noticed your cat. It looks just like my cat. A cat that is very much a part of my life and I felt tears as I read through your story. I felt compelled to write you and a connection as a cat owner and lover. I am sorry for your loss. I just discovered the Oregon coast two years ago. Went a lifetime and never knew the beauty that I was missing until I saw it. I came back the next year and saw more. Keep up the good work and just wanted to share my thoughts. Teresa, Oklahoma
Tracey, that is just so awesome! Love that photo of you; I'll have to check out the rest on Flickr.

Sounds like an amazing experience. And it must have been interesting and reflective to see so many pictures of yourself. I admit, I too rarely see myself in any pictures, especially with kids.
Mine is up. My little on is dreaming those cowboy dreams again.

I always enjoy the photos I find here and on the links in the comments! Maybe I will get to work on becoming a better photographer myself. My shot this week is not that awesome, but it sure is inspiring...because I'm getting a day of peace and quiet!

Tracey, that is a great picture of you - so soulful. The Oregon adventure sounds wonderful. And I've enjoyed everyone's point of view. Nice to know I'm not the only one that can let my intimidations get the best of me sometimes, especially as I venture back into my creative roots.
We had things happen this week that left me tired and taking a needed break. I finally published my Monday post last night, figured I would link it anyway. Here's my best shot
