Who knew that a photograph like this could spark a post like this? I guess it's been building up. You know, that my girls are growing up before my eyes. That Julia will be in the FOURTH grade (huh?) and Iris will begin preschool, FIVE DAYS A WEEK. Yes, I am thrilled. Finally time to myself. It's what I have been asking for. But that doesn't mean I'm not sad too.

My girls love halter tops, too. But lately, when my ten-year-old wears them I have the urge to say, "Whoa, missy - where you think you're goin in that getup? Go put some clothes on." Thank God she hasn't thought of pairing them with Daisy Dukes. Yet.

I am with you on the emotions of the new school year...my oldest starts 4th grade too, my baby goes to preschool three mornings,and my six year old boy-o leaves full-time for the first time in his LIFE next week. Tissues? Oh, yeah...
Darn...Yo warned me about th tissue... and did I stop what I was doing to do so...
